New York, New York. I had a wonderful, wonderful time in The Big Apple! CMJ 2012 was a real hoot and the weather was gorgeous! High 60’s and sunny, perfect in my opinion. When I was in New York City last week, I did a lot of people watching and window shopping in between meetings and shows at CMJ. Since I’m obsessed with fashion, it was fun to see how the styles differ between the east coast and west. (Hopefully I didn’t stare too much.) I wanted my Hump Day Hero to be someone with that east coast influence, so I thought of one of my favorites, Rebecca Minkoff! She’s adorable! Though born on the west coast, she resides and works in New York, and I saw a lot of her bags on the streets. I own her Supernova bag, pictured above, and have about 500 more of hers on my wish list. My friends know how much I love Robyn. ( I LOVE HER, YOU GUYS.) I probably talk about her way too much. One time I met her, you know. At a post-Grammy party this year and she is so terrific and very nice and has really unique style- which I love. In person she was maybe one of the most adorable people I’ve ever seen. Check out the video to “Call Your Girlfriend,” one of my favorite songs off her her latest album Body Talk. That album got me through a lot and I still listen to it on hikes and sometimes I even try to copy her dance moves. (I suck.) Happy Hump Day, party people!
